What Does The Bible Say About Persistence?
The bible has some subtle messages about Persistence. Study the passages below and interpret for yourself the value of persistence.
“There is never an occasion in all one’s life for losing faith, or for entertaining doubt. The man who does not ‘doubt in his heart’ according to the Master, can have whatsoever he saith.”
“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:23
Now ask yourself the following;
- How important is it to ask?
- Should your asking be continuous?
- What happened to those who just kept on asking? Or who were persistent?
- How many times have you given up?
There is Power in Your Tongue – USE IT
Then He said to them, “Suppose one of you has a friend, and goes to him at midnight and says to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves; 6 for a friend of mine has come to me from a journey, and I have nothing to set before him’; 7 and from inside he answers and says, ‘Do not bother me; the door has already been shut and my children and I are in bed; I cannot get up and give you anything.’…; 8” I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will get up and give him as much as he needs. 9” So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10” For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened.… Luke 11:5-10
“In a certain city there was a judge who did not fear God and did not respect man. 3” There was a widow in that city, and she kept coming to him, saying, ‘Give me legal protection from my opponent.’ 4” For a while he was unwilling; but afterward he said to himself, ‘Even though I do not fear God nor respect man,… 5 yet because this widow bothers me, I will give her legal protection, otherwise by continually coming she will wear me out.'” 6 And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge said;… …; Luke 18:2-6
SURPRISED???
Are you surprised to read about the Law of Persistence in the bible?
Are you surprised to see the effect of the Power of Persistence in the bible?
These are Universal Laws that are applicable to all areas of your life and information validating them could be found everywhere. These are not Religious Laws! The Master himself noted that if this woman was not persistent the unjust judge would not have paid any attention to her.
So I take this time now to ask… What unjust thing are you allowing to stay in your environment because you are not persistently demanding that it be removed from your life? There has never been an occasion where giving up has had any merit.
They manifested good success through the Power of Persistence. Remember it is your attitude towards a thing that either gives you Success or Failure.

Discernment is an important gift the Holy Spirit gives us. We all need the ability to make a sound judgment. Without faith it is impossible to please God.
