Before we can apply a theory we must know what it is. So I begin with the question to you. What is Influence?

Now this is what the dictionary says:

• Influence is being able to affect an action.
• The capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of someone or something, or the effect itself;
• Power authority or control
• The gradual or unseen operation of some cause to act upon
• To persuade

If you create, adjust, move, guide or transform someone’s manner of conducting him/ or herself, you have influenced them. Influence is key.

Successful thinkers understand that having influence within their social relationships has many benefits that could help them to further not only their social lives but also enhance their professional career.

The Importance of Influence
It is important to know that with influence everything that you want is within your reach. You have the ability to be in charge of more wealth and prosperity, have greater influence over the outcomes in your life by earning more respect, and in general enjoy a more productive life.

Successful thinkers however, know that without influence their lives are at the whims and fancies of other people. The success of their lives are in other people’s hands. It is very important to recognize, that influence is one of the most formidable means, that we have available to uplift us as individuals to live out our highest possibilities.
